Doing Business with Local Business and Chamber Member Proves a Pleasant Experience for Local Resident.
A few weeks ago the chamber received the following letter from a resident regarding his experience with a local auto repair shop. It is greate to hear of good experiences like this and the Chamber will welcome endorsements like this for it’s member businesses.
Dear Pico Rivera Chamber of Commerce,
On March 5, 2001 I took my car to Boston Transmission for a problem I was having. I told the owner, Joe, I wanted to change the transmission fluid due to a problem when shifting. He said okay and I left the car with him. Later on that morning he called me stating the transmission was slipping and needed to be replaced. I told him that the car was still under the original manufacturer’s warranty. Joe advised me to pick up the car and take it to them to replace the transmission because it should be free. Upon arriving to pick up my car, Joe greeted me with his usual professional demeanor and that all he did was test drive the car and give his professional opinion on the matter so there would be no charge. He also told me that if the dealer gave me any problems on the repair, I should give him a call and let them talk to him about the issue. Following his advice, I took my car back to the dealer and thay took care of the problem.
Two days after my original visit to Boston Transmission, Joe called me checking to see if the dealer was giving me any problems. This was totally unexpected and showed the caring characteristics of Joe. Joe saved me $3,600.00 in repairs and labor. I have done business with Boston Transmission once before, and after this experience, I plan not only to continue doing business with them, but will recommend them to others. It is not often you find caring and honesty in the business world, let alone the automotive repair industry. Joe and his employees represent an outstanding and honorable business of trained professionals. I thought you should know about this great experience and i think Joe’s company deserves some sort of special recognition. Thank you.
